The GEA is a nonprofit organization run by and for graduate students in
the Economics Department at UCLA. Its objective is to improve the
quality of life for students in the department. In pursuit of this
objective, the GEA undertakes the following activities:
· Sponsoring frequent events in order to facilitate increased
student-student and student-faculty interaction
· Preparing and compiling information important to graduate
students for their careers at UCLA
· Providing a forum for students to share opinions and lessons
learned
· Administering the Graduate Student Lab, which includes a state
of the art information technology facility, 40 study carrels, a group
study space, and 2 dozen lockers.
